The Women And Her Hats

Every step she makes
All the stories she tells 
A source of motivation 
She is a true inspiration
She is a baker and a bread winner
A mother, gardener, a baby maker
A friend, a teacher, a multitasker
A vacuum cleaner, a house fixer
Partner in need and a lover
A super hero, a secret holder


She has different hats for each day
Some are heavy and hard to carry 
Some just mirror her beauty
She wears each one on with grace
A smile and true elegance. 

There are days she weeps over one of her hats 
Other nights it is just a matter of balance 
All the pain and sorrow she protects
The joy and Beauty she brings
A wise advice she gives 
A work in progress she is
Hats off to her for the crown she wears.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

The Untold Story

The ink that prints on my papers gentles heart
Stroking and filling the page with question marks
Waiting for me to tell it what to write
Can we connect? It asked
Are you ready to pick up the mat and walk?
When is your true story going to start?
I need something that grabs the reader’s heart
I wants to inspire and be inspired, but I can't.
The ink wants to know, the ink asks
Question marks after question marks
It wants stories that are untold
Filled with action that is bold.


Why do you ask me to write about a dream that hasn't been lived?
An action that turned to an illusion
A faith without work
A work without faith
A disconnected life that is hard to write in cursive
A life that is illusive 
Too many periods and    gaps   between letters
Too many dots....and comas, , , in between words
They all end with question marks???
Though you have the answer
You refused to give
Though you have the passion you refused to live
The cries of your heart you ignore
The pages you kept filling with meaningless words.
Instead I want to write...
How you find meaning to your life
How you picked up the mat
How you inspired and walk the talk
How you stopped being crippled
How you stayed still and listened
How you served others without limits
How you lived your life with no regrets.
"Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.  One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”
“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up the mat and walk" At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. " John 5:1-9

If The Soul Speaks

I nagged 
Because I loved
I fret
Because I hurt
I cried because I cared
I didn't want to let you go
Without trying
I didn't want to watch you live a life that ends in regretting



Don't worry my love I am done trying
My part is done
I won't ask you to try again
I won't ask you when?
I won't ask you where or how long
You said enough 
You just want to gratify yourself 
I just didn't want to listen
I wanted to believe and convince my self 
You loved and cared as much as I did
I will keep on living
At least knowing
Once I loved without limits
Once I cared as deep as I could 
Once I tried to save and guide

Let Me

Let me love you like the sun loved the ocean,
Through a gleaming light and endless devotion.
I will come each morning to greet you with light
Getting the darkness out of your sight;
With a quiet beauty that speaks softly
Awakening your soul and warming your whole body.

Let me love you like the rain loved the soil,
Leaving no hard surface to your entire soul.
Taking you places you would never imagine,
Pouring out my love, soaking you with affection;
Wiping your troubles, quenching your thirst,
Giving you nutrients to lift your spirit.
 
Let me love you like the birds love the flowers,
Keeping you company for days and hours;
Greeting you each day with a sweet melody,
Singing you many songs that will make you happy.
I will take pleasure from the bloom of your heart,
The unseen beauty that is a work of art.
It is not only the blossom I am going after,
I want the seed in you that is buried under.

Let me love you like the moon loves the earth
Even when it is dim understands your worth
Knowing all your secrets you want to confide
Sharing all your dreams right by your side;
Helping you fall asleep through a peaceful light,
With intoxicated eyes, gazing at you all night.

The Purpose Driven Women


She made her bed next to the soft hearted,
gave up her comfort so they can be comforted.
The meek, the humble, the poor in spirit,
All became her friends whom she called blessed.


She said good bye to vanity and fine clothes,
Wrapped her body with love and kindness;
Wore the gloves of helping hands,
While putting the High heels of awesomeness,
She walked each day with a purpose,
To make this world a better place.

You can smell her scent from far away,
She wears a perfume called save one soul a day.
Though her body still craves the old ways,
Her soul desires to fulfill her purpose;
Where she finds warmth and happiness,
A heavenly peace that is endless.

"The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out"
Proverbs 20:5
